Booking policy

Please let me know as soon as possible if you are unable to attend a workshop that you have paid for.  I can offer a refund or a change of date/class with 14 days or more notice.  If you are cancelling with less than 14 days before the class, I'm afraid I cannot offer a refund, unless I can fill the place. 

 

If I have to cancel or postpone a workshop, I will offer you the choice to book onto a new date, or receive a refund. 

How to book a workshop place.

Use the 'Book Now' buttons to send an email.  Please give details of the date of the class you are interested in, and the number of places required.  I will email you back, with a secure link to pay online.  

For classes organised by art centres etc, the button will take you directly to the relevant website, where you can book and pay for your place.

Bumble Bee Garden

at Hobbycraft Swindon

on Wednesday 11th March 2026, 6 - 7:30pm

 

Cost is £23 per person

Perfect as a gift for Mother's Day, or to brighten up your home for spring!

 

You'll receive a kit with tools and materials to make your own 3D bumble bee, buzzing over garden of felt and paper flowers.  

All materials provided, suitable for beginner felters.  Suitable for ages 10+, all children under 16 must be supervised by an adult throughout.  the class.

Needle Felted Garden Mouse

at The Timber Store, NT Buscot & Coleshill Estate, Oxfordshire SN6 7PT

on Saturday 18th April, 10am to 4pm

 

Cost is £72 per person, all materials provided including power pot, garden tool, veg box, trellis, sunflowers etc

Make your own garden friend, in this fun and character filled needle felting workshop.  Learn how to build a core shape, add wire for stability, and create fine details.

Lunch arrangements - either bring your own packed lunch, or order something from neighbouring Blake's Kitchen.  Our venue has a kitchenette, so tea and coffee will be available throughout.  Feel free to bring herbal tea bags etc if that's your preference.

This class is suitable for beginner felters and ages 12+. All under 16s must be supervised throughout by a paying and participating adult.

Felted Highland Cow

at Prema Arts, Uley near Dursley, Glos

on Saturday 25th April, 10am to 4pm

 

Cost is £58 per person, concessions available for Prema members, plus a bring friend rate too!

Join Sarah for most marvellous and highly creative needle felting class, where you'll learn how to make your an adorable highland cow! Perfect for total beginners and improvers alike, this workshop guides you through the basics of needle felting.

You'll learn how to use felting needles safely and effectively, shape core wool into a 3D form, use wire to give stability, add and blend colour, bring character with facial detailing, and finish off with the signature shaggy hair and amazing horns.

All materials are provided, including natural wool fibre, felting equipment and lots of templates, photos and individual instruction. By the end of the session, you'll go home with a unique woolly cow full of Highland personality.

Felted Hummingbird & Hibiscus

- at Oxford Summer School

on Monday 3rd and Tuesday 4th August, 

9:30am to 4pm on both days

 

Cost is £140 per person, plus a £15 charge for materials

Create a life sized, 3D fibre sculpture of a vibrant ruby throated hummingbird; feeding from a hibiscus flower. Using carded wool, wire, sheet felt and fine merino; we will utilise a wide variety of needle felting techniques to build the elements, and combine them into this gravity defying design.

 

On day one, we will create the hibiscus plant complete with open flowers, leaves and buds. You will receive enough materials to add extra flowers if desired. Day two will be spent crafting our tiny hummingbirds. 

The course covers several topics - working from templates, building a core, adding and blending wool colours, constructing a stable armature, and combining felt fabric with needle felting
